How to adapt the universal servo valve


As a key control component in hydraulic system, servo valve is widely used in industrial automation, aerospace, construction machinery and other fields. Its core function is to convert electrical signals into high-precision hydraulic output, so as to realize accurate control of the speed, position and force of the actuator. In practical application, in order to improve the flexibility and economy of the system, it is often necessary to adapt the “universal servo valve” to a specific device or system. So, how to adapt the universal servo valve? This paper will make a thorough analysis from the technical principle to the actual operation.

First, understand the basic principle of servo valve.

General servo valve usually includes torque motor, nozzle baffle, slide valve and other parts. Its working process is: the input electric signal drives the torque motor to change the opening of the nozzle baffle, and then control the pressure difference between the two ends of the slide valve to move the slide valve, thus adjusting the flow and direction of hydraulic oil. Therefore, in the process of adaptation, we must fully understand its input signal type (such as current or voltage), rated flow, pressure level and installation interface and other parameters.

Second, clear system requirements

Before the servo valve is adapted, the performance requirements of the target system should be made clear first. For example:

-System working pressure and flow demand;

Four, mechanical interface and hydraulic connection adaptation

The installation form, oil port size and flange standard of servo valve may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. When adapting, you should:

-Check whether the oil circuit matches to avoid throttling or back pressure problems;

-Pay attention to the selection and replacement of seals to prevent leakage.

V. Debugging and Performance Optimization

After hardware adaptation is completed, system debugging is needed:

-zero adjustment and dead zone compensation;

-Set appropriate gain parameters to avoid oscillation or hysteresis;

-Optimize the control algorithm according to the load change.

-Regularly check the stability of electrical connections and hydraulic interfaces;

-For high-precision applications, it is recommended to use professional debugging equipment and software.
